Morrison ankles Anonymous advertisements division
Anonymous Content's Dork Morrison has left as mind from the advertisements division, a publish he's held because the company's beginning. Morrison didn't immediately return a contact, and Anonymous didn't discuss the reason behind his departure. Anonymous Boss Steve Golin created the organization at the end of 1999, tapping Morrison, his former friend at Propaganda, to operate the brand new venture's advertisements division. Like at Propaganda (which Golin also founded in 1986), Anonymous' core business was advertisements and musicvideo production, getting over prominent Propaganda breakthroughs like David Fincher, Gore Verbinski and David Kellogg. Under Morrison, Anonymous increased being among the industry's top advertisements production houses. As producer on many top helmers' commercial projects, Morrison focused almost solely about the medium -- though he was listed being an professional producer on two features throughout his time at Anonymous, "44 Inch Chest," and "Pandorum," in 2009. 'Harry Potter' Director David Yates Officially Makes 'The Stand' His Next Project
Ron Howard's adaptation of 'The Dark Tower' has stalled out, but fear not, Stephen King fans: a multi-film treatment of 'The Stand' is on its way. Director David Yates and writer Steve Kloves, who worked together on the last three 'Harry Potter' films, are re-teaming for King's post-apocalyptic tale of good and evil. During press for the final Potter film, Yates had expressed a desire to tackle 'The Stand' and now Warner Bros. is finalizing a deal for him and Kloves. There's the potential for this to be even darker than the 'Potter' series,' or the 1994 miniseries, which aired on ABC. The TV version was directed by 'Masters of Horror' helmer Mick Garris and starred Gary Sinise, Jamey Sheridan and Ruby Dee. Is 'The Stand' in good hands with Yates and Kloves? And who would you cast? Cannavale scrubs into 'Nurse'
CannavaleBobby Cannavale will join the cast of Showtime's "Nurse Jackie" because of its 4th season. He'll play a difficult hospital administrator sent by All Saint's new parent company. He'll appear in most 10 segs from the Edie Falco starrer, which starts production in September in Gotham for any 2012 premiere.Cannavale most lately starred opposite Chris Rock on Broadway in "The Motherfucker Using the Hat." The Daily Show In this clip from Tuesday's Daily Show, Jon Stewart rips Newsweek a new one for its cover image of Republican presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann. "Newsweek! Newsweek! That's a s----- picture of Michele Bachmann, and clearly not an accidentally s----- picture of Michele Bachmann," he notes. He then runs through several shots of Bachmann that are far more flattering than the one on the magazine's cover, noting, "You gotta go pretty far out of your way to find a crappy photo of Michele Bachmann, and you did. Why?" And then, the kicker: "Be honest, Newsweek, you used that photo in a petty attempt to make Michele Bachmann look crazy. And that's what her words are for!" VIDEO: Lady Gaga Says Tim Gunn is "Being a Bully" Regarding Hillary Clinton
Lady Gaga Lady Gaga co-hosted Monday's episode of The View and the topic of Tim Gunn's recent comments regarding Hillary Rodham Clinton's wardrobe choices came up. (Gunn had said last week on Lopez Tonight, "I think [Clinton is] confused about her gender. All these big, baggy, tailored men's suits? No, I'm really serious.") Gaga's response? "He's being a bully. I think Hillary Clinton has more important things to worry about than her hemline." Since Gaga has eclipsed Gunn's fashion relevance for a while now, we're more inclined to defer to her. (And since when does a woman choosing to wear anything have any bearing on her gender identity? Is Gunn living in the '50s?)
